Opinions wanted: How to post fic?

So I have a twelve chapter fanfic ready to post. 41,000 words. In German. Which means that everything before the LJ-cut will appear on my friends' friends pages quite often. All my friends are keeping their LJs in English. Have I mentioned the story is in German?

So, I'm wondering:

1) Post it in twelve parts, one chapter each? Or in six, two chapters each?
2) What is a reasonable posting schedule for twelve parts? For six parts? All at once, twice daily, daily, every two days?
3) Write the header in German, English, or some mix as I did with Malenka?

Any hints, experiences, preferences or opinions?
