Opinions wanted: How to post fic?

So I have a twelve chapter fanfic ready to post. 41,000 words. In German. Which means that everything before the LJ-cut will appear on my friends' friends pages quite often. All my friends are keeping their LJs in English. Have I mentioned the story is in German?

So, I'm wondering:

1) Post it in twelve parts, one chapter each? Or in six, two chapters each?
2) What is a reasonable posting schedule for twelve parts? For six parts? All at once, twice daily, daily, every two days?
3) Write the header in German, English, or some mix as I did with Malenka?

Any hints, experiences, preferences or opinions?

This is all YMMV, obviously, but here's my take:

1) The fewer parts, the better. Personally I prefer long stories in a single file, so I'd probably upload it elsewhere and just have a single linking post on my LJ, but others have different preferences.

2) As I said, all in one file, all at once. (I hate having a finished story spaced out over a period of time; unless the first part is really really can't-put-it-down brilliant I'm likely to lose interest because it constantly breaks the reading flow.)

3) German story, German header. No real point in giving an English header to those who can't read the story anyway. ;-)

(I have a couple people on my flist who generally post in German, and some who do sometimes, so it's not that unusual.)
