Government seems to just have issued an ukase effectively making giving an AZ vaccine illegal to anyone below the age of 60. Instead everyone who had their fist jab of AZ is to be given some mRNA vaccine for their second jab. Reasoning of the office recommending that: We expect that it will work, and under-60s rarely die of COVID-19 anyway. So you should be happy that we are protecting all you girls from an 1:30.000 evil brain blood clots.
Yesterday my GP screamed at me for asking if there was a possiblity of getting a second dose of AZ through her in May if the regular track I was one would not provide one while it was still unclear if a mixed scheme would work. She would have kicked me out because I was crying, had her aide not reminded here that I needed a blood test for my post-cancer treatment. So she just yelled at me again.
Funny thing is, I was around to ask also for a possible way to deal with having three chronic conditions where the treatment of each one makes another one worse, and for a reference to counceling because I feel quite at the end of myself.
I need to go to the dentist, because of a tooth ache and I'll be getting a post cancer treatment that can cause your jawbone kind of melting if you have an inflammation of the teeth, but I can't drag up the energy.
I entered my name into a database of volunteers for clinical studies. If goverment decides I am to be a guinea pig, I can at least get paid for it.
Even if this should all turn out fine (and I can hardly manage to find a fuck to give), the national health office has shown an amount of bad reasoning that cannot be easily forgiven or forgotten. As my philosphy prof said, "The problem with the cynical arguemnt is that someone who is doing the right thing for the wrong reasons will also do the wrong for the same reasons."
