lyornJust finished Charles Stross' "Trade of Queens". Holy fuck. That one makes Watchmen at its bleakest feel like Narnia. George R.R. Martin might come close to that amount of stomach-turning brutality in A Song of Ice and Fire, but without the high-octane part.
It's also a brilliant, clever book, kind of funny in a Tom Lehrer way.
