Bad cat news, but...

lyornThe lab results have come in, and the thing on Tully's lip was a malignant melanoma, and they are in serious doubt that it had been cut out properly. Of course, it cannot be cut out properly without causing damage I do not wish to contemplate.
I'm looking into treatment options, but I don't think there are any feasible ones.
OTOH, best case is he'll be going for another six months or maybe even a year without the melanoma coming back of metastasising. Cortisone might help, and he's getting it anyway for his asthma.
We'll see.
For now he seems like a mostly content elderly cat who likes to eat, likes to cuddle up to his human, and is very enthusiastic about watching birds on the balcony. That's something.
