It's strange, when I read it on your LJ, I knew what would be happening and found it vaguely amusing, but seeing it black-on-white cracked me up.

You gotta swim quite fast, too - if I'm not completely off, the average speed on this epic trip is about 9.4 mph or 15,1 km/h!
Should be worth an entry into the Guiness Book of Records ;-)
And just another thought: isn't illegal to go swimming in most harbours? Shouldn't the route be adusted accordingly?

Yes the *only* way to cross the Atlantic is Le Havre - Long Wharf, even when you try to get from Oslo to Quebec ... wonder what two of the main sponsors of Google maps are *g*
