Not hungry anymore

This morning, my right eye was swollen shut and I decided not to go to work. Instead I had a half-hour phone call into office which left me sweating and trembling from the effort of speaking intelligibly. (Note to self: English = better when drunk; German = better when looking like having lost a boxing match with Muhammed Ali.)

But by now, my face is feeling slightly damaged, but humanoid, the places where the teeth [*] are missing hurt, but they do so locally and do not form a giant sphere of "ouch", and I just had a double portion pasta with mushrooms and pesto, and a quadruple portion of stewed cherries with an indecent amount of cream (fortunately, the doc didn't forbid me to have milk products), and now, for the first time since Monday afternoon, I'm not hungry, only mildly uncomfortable, and only in a little bit of pain.

kazaera and mad_freddy, thank you for the sympathy and the kind words, I really needed them.


[*] There was another tooth in the same quadrant that had to go on Monday, but as it was just a dead stump anyway, it was a minor matter.

That's good to hear, not being hungry anymore sounds like a huge improvement of the situation!
